Art Mover Buddy:What's that?

Well, if you are driving or hiring a vehicle to hand-in/deliver/collect work why not connect with a Buddy who also needs to hand-in/deliver/collect work from somewhere along your route?

The cost of delivering and collecting your work can often prevent you participating in as many events as you should to achieve any level of success in your field. That's where an Art Mover Buddy can make all the difference.

Here are our Guidelines for the success of Art Mover Buddy: Please read carefully

Art Mover - The person with the vehicle to transport the work

Buddy - The person who needs work handed-in/delivered/collected

1.Do not post any personal details such as your phone number, address or the date you are leaving your home unattended(!!) on the open forum. Use private messaging to make arrangements with your Buddy but again do not give away all your personal details.
2.Whenever possible arrange to meet in a neutral place such as a service station or a supermarket car park.
3.Buddies should not expect an Art Mover to go out of their way and carry out complex delivery arrangements - keep it simple or expect to pay a bit more.
4.Art Movers should charge a fee of £20 for their services. For the Buddy this fee is much cheaper than vehicle hire or a tank of petrol so it is a fair charge and it will help with the Art Mover's costs. Buddies must pay the Art Mover in advance or cash on collection.
5.Art Mover Buddy is not a people moving service. Buddy's may not accompany their work on its journey unless by special arrangement with the Art Mover - they need the space in the vehicle for art work not people.
6.Remember, an Art Mover's main priority is to hand-in/deliver/collect their work on time so don't delay them without good reason.
7.Provide your Art Mover with clear instructions, make sure the addresses you give are correct and if they are to deliver/collect from a person rather than an organisation, be sure to provide names and a contact number.

8.If your work is very heavy or requires specialist moving equipment, make this clear to the Art Mover before they agree to move your work.

Finally, Art Mover Buddy is based on trust. Treat the work placed in your care as if it was your own, be reliable and communicate with your Buddy.
